Getting Clear On Your Life Path

You know what? Feeling clear about the future can be hard these days! There are so many unknowns and so much over-dramatized news, it’s hard to know what the truth is.

But the good news is: you don’t need to wait for news reporters and quarantine laws to tell you what you want. All you have to do is make the space to listen to yourself - which is exactly what I’m sharing with you today. I’ve broken my vision clarity process down into 5 easy steps, including 4 powerful journal prompts, in order to help you start mapping out your big ideas.

All you need is a pen and paper. Anything will do - even the back of an old receipt.

1. Close your eyes, take 3 deep breaths and visualize your dream day.

write a list of everything you saw. From the color of your sheets to the kind of life and career you had. These are you visions!

2. Journal prompt: What makes me feel the most alive?

Start to step into the energy of what it feels like to be YOU. Write down a list of things that you could do for hours on end and still feel great afterward. Maybe it’s hiking with friends,

3. Journal prompt: What will I look back on wish I had done?

Brace yourself, we’re getting deep. At the end of your life, what are you going to regret not doing? How are you going to wish you had lived? No filter, just be honest.

4. Journal prompt: What am I afraid of? What fear comes up when I’m thinking of doing these things?

Likely the reason why you haven’t already done these things is because something’s holding you back - What is it? What is keeping you from going after your dreams? Write everything down.

Examples: I can’t hike around the world now because I need to get a promotion and save for retirement. Or, if I start a blog now then what if no one cares and it flops?

5. What is this telling me that I need?

Behind every obstacle is a fear. And behind every fear is a belief. What are your fears telling you about what you need? Some examples are: love, acceptance, to be understood, communication, stability

Once you’ve listed your visions and identified your subconscious fears and the hidden beliefs around them, you’ll be in a much better place to address your goals with honesty.
