Favorite yoga pose & why:
Peacock Pose / Myurasana. It really helps to build strong digestive fire. This is great if, like myself, you're not always able to maintain the most "yogic" of diets.
Most challenging yoga pose for you & why:
Foot-Behind-the-Head-Pose / Eka pada sirsasana. My hips are a little bit tight and I have a long torso, so any pose that requires the foot to go behind the head will always be a bit of challenge for me.
Hobbies or other things you like to do:
Surfing, skiing, snowboarding, zen meditation, going to breweries, clowning, improv, binging on Netflix, goofing around with kids, being a Yoga history expert.
Why are you a part of the GTM team?
Life is meant to be enjoyed and yoga is truly a tool to do just that. Yoga studios are amazing places, but it's easy to become stuck and confined to one's practice only within the studio walls. I think it's real important to bring yoga out of the studio and put it in an environment filled with celebration and enjoyment! I want to expose people to yoga who wouldn't otherwise walk into a studio, people who think that yoga is only for insane hippies and girls with great butts. Well I'm here to tell you that's complete bullsh*t! Yoga is for everyone! Now, let's have some fun, whether your butt is great or not!
