Favorite yoga pose & why:
Pigeon / Eka Pada Rajakapotasana. I think I love this pose so much because I used to hate it. When I first came to yoga I was all about the active, physical practice - it was very hard for me to "let go and just be". Now, I love the complete surrender of pigeon pose and I think it holds a special place in my heart. It represents the complete process of transformation yoga has brought me. Plus, who doesn't love a good half-pigeon assist?!
Most challenging yoga pose for you & why:
Full Split / Hanumanasana. Open hamstrings? Never head of them. Many years of running and playing sports means being able to touch my toes is a huge accomplishment for me!
Hobbies or other things you like to do:
Anything and everything at the beach! Reading, running, arts & crafts... listening, learning, hanging with friends, snuggling with my sisters...
Why are you a part of the GTM team?
Yoga has brought so much richness to my life. It allows me to grow and evolve with every practice, every class I teach, and every friend I've made. GTM builds a yoga community in a way that is accessible and fun. I love having the opportunity to be a part of that. We all want connection in life, and that's what GTM is all about!
