Child Pose / Balasana. Because, why not? I once spent an entire class in child's pose... oops. I think it's an important and undervalued asana. Just don't forget to wake up!
MOST CHALLENGING YOGA POSE FOR YOU & WHY:
Chair Twist / Parivrtta Utkatasana. Body. Doesn't Fit. It's been an epic struggle to keep my hips both square and low while twisting. A mentor of mine recently suggested a placing a block between my knees for increased rotation - voilà. I have made progress here, but chair twist and I are still holding a grudge.
HOBBIES OR OTHER THINGS YOU LIKE TO DO:
A bailarrr! I started dancing hip-hop in college and continue to do so today. You can find me in a dance studio most weekends. I also cook (not well), swim (read: drown), and won a turkey-gobbling contest in first grade. #stillgotit
WHY ARE YOU A PART OF THE GTM TEAM?
Yoga is the most accessible practice in the world. You need your body, and your breath. To be able to share the simplicity and the rad-assness (#GTMlingo) of yoga with others in a memorable way... yeah, sounds about right. This is why I'm a part of Grip The Mat.
