When should I arrive at the event?
Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start time. Arrive early to keep your karma cool.
How do I get in?
Have your ID ready and give your name at the door. Let us know if it is your first time and don’t hesitate to ask any questions!
Will I sweat?
Probably. Or sparkle. Grip The Mat events are a total body experience. Be sure to stay hydrated and avoid heavy eating prior to the event (snacks are always encouraged!). As with any physical activity, when in doubt please consult your physician before an event.
Advice from the founders...
We ask each attendee to use discretion while practicing yoga and partaking in the social hour. Please read and sign the liability waiver upon ticket registration.
Are there ID requirements or an age limited to enter the event?
Events are for yogis 21+ only.
What should I bring to the event?
Bring your mat, your ID and a water bottle!
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable you can move and groove in. Barefeet are required during yoga and shoes are optional afterward. Sorry, speedos are heavily frowned upon.
Will there be mats available?
Yes, mat rentals are available ahead of time upon ticket purchase. They are also available at the door.
I’ve never done yoga before, should I still come?
Yes! Grip The Mat offers variations for all levels. In fact, the hope is to inspire newcomers and attract them to living a balanced lifestyle cultivated through yoga practice.
